W Retreat & Spa Bali - Seminyak The W hotel in Bali was, by far, my favourite hotel we've every stayed in. It took around 35 minutes to get there from the airport. We were greeted by the happiest staff you've ever met! then taken to the welcome desk to check in. It was the little touches that made this hotel great.

We checked in around 11 and our villa wasn't ready yet so we were shown to the poolside bar where we got cocktails and fresh stone baked pizza, wooooo! (yes cocktails at 11am!!) Once our room was ready they dropped us a text and we collected our keys. We were driven to our villa in a buggy, even though it was a 3 minute walk from reception, and shown around.

Dinner was room service on the first night and consisted of ribs and macaroni cheese, yes it was good! The room service menu is average, there wasn't really much that stood out to me. The breakfast menu is great. It's the same on room service and at the buffet. I had cinnamon french toast on day one and pancakes on day two. On the second night we ate at their 'Starfish Bloo' restaurant which is a pan asian cuisine. It was, surprisingly, delicious. My boyfriend and I are rather fussy with food so this was a bit out of our comfort zone. A waiter explained the menu to us and helped us pick our dishes.

Wifi- the wifi is SO FAST. High speed around the entire resort. There was even a cable in our villa to gain a faster connection. It is also free.

The staff as the W Hotel are wonderful, so happy! They're extremely polite and i will go out of their way to help you with anything.

We didn't get a chance to go out and explore Seminyak but this would be a perfect hotel to stay at if you wanted the balance between a hideaway but access to Seminyak.

My only negative about this hotel is that face that our air conditioning broke on the second day, but i was fixed within the hour so it was no issue at all.
