A Night at The Corinthia Hotel in London

A Night at The Corinthia Hotel in London

(AD – PR STAY)

Hear all about my special Birthday stay at The Corinthia Hotel in London… one of my favourite hotels that is the perfect place to stay for a special occasion or celebration in the city!

Hey my friends!

So, as so many of you may have seen, it was my Birthday recently! (5th April) – oh my goodness, I had the most amazing and memorable Birthday. I truly loved every moment and celebrated with all of my fav people in some gorgeous spots around my favourite city in the world – (London of course!).

One of the stays I’ve been dying to tell you all about, was my stay at The Corinthia. It feels literally like a ‘home city’ hotel for me, we’ve stayed here a few times and always love coming back – but not in this incredible suite before. We stayed in The Garden Suite, it was absolutely stunning. It overlooked the hotels beautifully manicured gardens and feels like your very own botanical haven. It has a king sized bed, a separate living area and there was even a built-in TV above the bathtub for you to really make the most of this relaxing space. My room also had a juliette balcony, so in the summer, I can just imagine how lovely it would be to have the doors open on a sunny day and enjoy breakfast looking out on the gardens.

If you’re looking for a really luxurious treat for somewhere to spend your Birthday, this is IT! I think everyone needs to stay here at least once if you’re visiting London for a special occasion.

The staff were also all so lovely, accommodating and helpful throughout my stay and we noticed it especially in the first few moments when we arrived to check in. There was even a little sweet selection bar when you checked in that you could help yourself to in the lobby and they also had them in the room as well, which was a really nice touch.

An even more thoughtful idea they had, that was when I came into the room, there was a framed photo of James and I, along with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers on the dresser in the bedroom with a lovely little note wishing me a Happy Birthday.

We went to the Northall Bar downstairs for a club sandwich in the afternoon which was absolutely delicious. They have a seasonal menu with a strong European style cuisine, headed up by award-winning executive chef André Garrett, so even if you don’t stay the night, you could always come for a special dinner to experience the amazing food.

There’s a really good selection of other bars and restaurants to eat downstairs too, of course with the best dining experiences, so whatever you’re fancying eating or the time of day, definitely take some time to explore the lovely food at The Corinthia. I’d also totally recommend in the summer enjoying the Mediterranean menu at The Garden restaurant downstairs in such a beautiful setting.

In the evening when I’m staying at a hotel, I love to really take the opportunity to unwind, and since this was my ‘Birthday Eve’ (I’m saying that’s a thing, because it is exciting the night before your Birthday, right?!) we wanted to make the most of the wonderful Espa Life Spa at the hotel too. We had the full body massage and made use of the pool and it was just so nice to actually soak up the feel of such a wonderful hotel and what it has to offer.

In the evening when we returned from the spa, we wanted to just unwind and relax, rather than head out anywhere for dinner. Because of the fab location of the hotel, there was so much choice from all of the best and my favourite London restaurants in the area that you could order on Deliveroo. We were able to order a Hakkasan delivery straight to the hotel which they kindly brought up – it was literally heaven! The location is so prime and you can quite literally order anything you fancy.

What was also really lovely, when we returned to the room after having been to the spa, they do a turn down service in the room – which just makes it all the more special.

Also because of the amazing location, there’s so many wonderful walks that you can do, so after dinner we headed out for a stroll along Southbank and it really just felt like the perfect end to such a wonderful day before turning a year older.

The morning of my Birthday was just really chilled, waking up 26 felt CRAZY! So of course, I did all of my favourite things, made a coffee from the Nespresso coffee machine in the suite and did my usual morning workout in the hotels gym, to feel awake and ready for the day (but of course make the most of this space too). You all know this is my favourite way to start the day and the gym was quite empty so I could really enjoy my workout.

Now, I’m going to make a really bold statement and say the breakfast that we ordered via room service on the morning of my Birthday was one of the BEST breakfasts I’ve had as in-room dining over the years. It was so fresh, delicious and beautifully presented that it just matched up to all the other high standards I experienced during my stay.

As you will have seen if you watched my vlog, I had booked a fun barre class with my team for around lunchtime, so I got ready and headed out for that and sadly, had to check out of this wonderful stay. But it was such a memorable Birthday stay and since it’s one of my favourite hotels, I will definitely be back!

M. Xx
